during the most painful time of my life, i made a promise to myself.
instead of numbing my pain, and avoiding it, I would turn into it,
feel what was going on inside of me, and explore it. At times the
emotion was too much for me, filling me up so much that I needed
to let some spill out. it is in that spilling that "bone sighs" were born.
adding water color the words was my way of completing each thought
that came out, my way of "honoring" them.
they have become a way of life for me. they are the business that
allows me to stay at home and raise my three sons, they are the
therapy helps keep me sane, and they are what taught
me that we are all connected. our experiences may be totally
different, but our emotions are so similar and we all very much are one.
it is with deep gratitude and respect that i offer you these "bone sighs."
may they help remind you to honor yourself.
